Help the Farmington River

Support the Wild and Scenic designation for the Lower Farmington River (see attached document for details). This designation would be great for paddling on the Farmington and especially Tariffville gorge.

American Whitewater supports the effort: http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Article/view/articleid/31537/

If you would, please comment in support of the designation (Alternative B), they're running out of time for comments, closing date is October 17th. You don't need to say much, offering your support is a big help! parkplanning.nps.gov/document.cfm?parkID=261&projectID=35651&documentID=48466

Wayne has a cool geology blog.
He is from Flagstaff, and is an avid hiker/explorer who knows the canyon well.

Check it out!
