hooray for Sheepscot. I really love this spot

it's not too big or dynamic (especially on this day) but it's a great place to hang out with people on a super smooth wave. When the sun is shining, the water is so clear that you can see the ledge that creates the wave

the best part about this day is that I got to hang out with someone I was teaching and the person who taught me

This is Mark Gibson (Gibby). He was the first person to drag me into a kayak and throw me down a river. Of course, he threw me down the gorge on the Penobscot so I had to learn quickly (with a few swims......)

Here is Aaron. He has a decent roll and is now learning how to surf. Another victim of "oh sure, you can do it" teachhing style. We decided that the best way to learn to handle a boat is to teach Aaron how to surf. I"m sure that eddy turns, ferries, and peel outs will be much easier to him next year. he he he

Gibby demonstrating just how smooth this spot is.
